Death toll in Ghana's road crash rises to 34

ACCRA, Jan. 14(Xinhua)--The number of people who died in Ghana's grisly road crash accident Tuesday has risen to 34, the police have said.

While 29 people died on the spot during the crash, five others died at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

Two buses from a local transport company VIP traveling in opposite directions collided near Komenda, about 173 kilometers west of its capital Accra, just after midnight on Tuesday.

The Takoradi-bound bus, which was attempting to overtake another vehicle, collided with the oncoming bus that was traveling to Accra. Enditem
