LES ROUSSES, France, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Alena Mokhova snatched her second gold medal at the Winter Youth Olympic Games as Russian biathletes enjoyed a one-two finish in biathlon women's 6km sprint here on Tuesday.

Mokhova, who had tasted the gold in Saturday's individual race, suffered one shooting error in the standing position to clock 18 minutes and 55.5 seconds for her second win in four days.

"I'm really happy to have two gold medals. I didn't expect it. It was really emotional for me," Mokhova told Xinhua.

"The last loop was pretty difficult for me. I felt really bad. The most important thing was just to ski to the finish," she added.

Another Russian girl Anastasiia Zenova was just 1.9 seconds shy of Mokhova's time, while Anna Andexer of Austria pocketed the bronze with a 6.1-second deficit from Mokhova.

China's Ding Yuhuan, 16, suffered three penalty loops in the prone shooting, which damaged a lot en route to her 34th place finish.

"I fought hard today with no regret. I didn't handle some details well in shooting, which led to misfiring several times," Ding said.

Biathlon will put on the final day action on Wednesday with mixed relay. Enditem
