LONDON, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Celtic Glasgow announced on its official site on Tuesday that the club has signed Polish forward Patryk Klimala on a four-and-a-half year contract.
The 21-year-old was the greatest star of Jagiellonia Bialystok, as he has scored 7 goals in 17 matches so far this season. According to the Polish media the transfer fee is about 4 million euro.
"The deal was finalised on Tuesday at Celtic Park and the Polish player will immediately begin training with his new team-mates at Lennoxtown from Wednesday," informed the Scottish club.
"I understand how massive a club Celtic is, but I feel I'm ready for this now. I'm looking forward to playing for a team with such a big history and I know The Bhoys are also a huge club in Europe. I want to give fans a lot of happiness and hopefully score a lot of goals for Celtic," Klimala said in the interview for Celtic TV.
"The last 24 hours were intense. I was waiting for the decision to be finalised so I could finally come here and meet everyone. I had the chance to see the stadium and I felt the atmosphere. It was amazing so I'm looking forward to playing here in front of the fans. I'm very happy that everything is finished now and looking good," added the U-21 striker. Enditem
