TOKYO, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks closed lower Wednesday, snapping a three-day winning streak, amid a lack of fresh trading cues and some consternation over global trade issues.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 108.59 points, or 0.45 percent, from Tuesday to close the day at 23,916.58.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, dropped 9.47 points, or 0.54 percent, to finish at 1,731.06.
Nonferrous metal, mining and electric appliance-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the close of play. Enditem
