JAKARTA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- A 5.9-magnitude earthquake jolted off the central part of Indonesia on Wednesday, the country's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said.
The quake struck at 14:55 p.m. Jakarta time (0755 GMT) with the epicenter 64 km southeast of East Nusa Tenggara province's district of Kupang and a depth of 10 km under the seabed.
The quake was not likely to trigger a tsunami.
Minutes later, a 5.1-magnitude quake jolted the country's easternmost province of Papua with the depth of 10 km.
