LONDON, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.27 percent, or 20.45 points, to close at 7,642.80 points.
Ocado Group, an online grocer, soared 2.72 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Pearson and Informa increased by 2.21 percent and 2.05 percent, respectively.
Prudential, a British multinational life insurance and financial services company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.68 percent.
