Chinese phone maker Vivo launches new product in Kenya

NAIROBI, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese phone maker Vivo has expanded its Y-series portfolio with the launch of the new Vivo Y19 as it seeks to increase its footprint in the Kenyan market, an official said on Thursday.

Arthur Xian, CEO Vivo Kenya, said in a statement that the launch of the new device is also set to increase the accessibility of smartphones in the country.

"The Y19 will offer more options for mobile phone users by providing comprehensive functionality at an affordable price," Xian said.

The Vivo Y19 joins the Y-series, which include the Y12, Y15 and Y17 currently retailing in stores countrywide and are seeking to empower young users with powerful features that meet with their needs and lifestyle.

Xian said that Vivo aims to bring the latest innovation to younger consumers through Y Series smartphones. Enditem
