FRANKFURT, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 2.87 points, or 0.02 percent, to close at 13,429.43 points.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen lost 1.48 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive supplier Continental and automotive manufacturer BMW, which lost 1.43 percent and 1.41 percent, respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard gained 6.06 percent, becoming the top gainer. Energy group RWE and aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero advanced 2.11 percent and 1.37 percent, respectively.
Wirecard was the most traded share with a turnover of 458.5 million euros (512.0 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
