FRANKFURT, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 96.70 points, or 0.72 percent, to close at 13,526.13 points.
Energy group RWE won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.06 percent. Multinational software corporation SAP and energy group E.ON added 2.87 percent and 1.92 percent respectively.
Deutsche Post lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.00 percent. Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and automotive supplier Continental went down by 0.74 percent and 0.73 percent respectively.
SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 383.5 million euros (426.0 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
