SINGAPORE, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 1 percent, or 32.92 points, to close at 3,247.17.
A total of 2.67 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.11 billion Singapore dollars (about 822.4 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 350 to 138.
The STI index went down 0.03 percent, or 0.94 points, to close at 3,280.09 on Monday. Enditem
