STOCKHOLM, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Daniel Bohnacker of Germany took his first FIS Ski Cross World Cup race win in nine years, while home favorite Sandra Naeslund also tasted victory at Sweden's Idre Fjall on Sunday.

Bohnacker was joined in the men's final by Saturday's winner Ryan Regez of Switzerland and the Canadian duo of Brady Leman and Kevin Drury.

Drury took an early lead and held it until the race's final jump, with Bohnacker edging ahead and being declared the winner after a photo finish, and Regez and Leman finishing third and fourth respectively.

"The win feels very good. I put a lot of pressure on myself and others expected me to win another race and it just feels so good that I could bring it down today," Bohnacker said of his first win since 2011.

In the women's competition, Naeslund was embroiled in a titanic duel with Fanny Smith of Switzerland, and delighted the home fans with a close victory. Canada's Marielle Thompson and Brittany Phelan finished third and fourth.

"I am really happy with today's win. It was really tough racing with the girls today. I was fighting in every heat and gave it all I had and in the end was able to win," Naeslund commented. Enditem
