PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's economy is projected to remain robust in 2020 despite stronger external headwinds, the Singapore-based ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) said in a press release on Wednesday.

"Real GDP (gross domestic product) growth is forecast to moderate to a more sustainable rate of 7.1 percent in 2019 and 2020, supported by robust construction activities, strong domestic credit growth, and buoyant domestic demand," the press release said. (Cambodia-Economy)

KABUL -- The U.S. forces in Afghanistan on Tuesday recovered the remains of two personnel from the site in eastern Ghazni province, where a U.S. aircraft crashed on Monday, U.S. forces confirmed on Wednesday.

"On January 28, U.S. Forces recovered the remains of two personnel from the site where a U.S. Bombardier E-11A aircraft crashed in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan on January 27," the U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, which is part of NATO-led Resolute Support, said in a statement. (Afghanistan-US airplane)

CANBERRA -- A coalition of Australia's leading scientists have written to the government calling for "urgent deep cuts" to the nation's greenhouse gas emissions.

SYDNEY -- A new state-of-the-art flight academy has opened in Australia with the capacity to train over 250 pilots per year.

Built by Aussie aviation giant Qantas in association with the Queensland State Government and the Wagner Corporation, the facility in the rural city of Toowoomba houses a 1,500 square meter hangar, four flight simulators, numerous classrooms and student accommodation quarters.
