ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia has set June 24 as the date for this year's parliamentary elections, the parliament's press office said Friday.

SEOUL -- At least two people have been confirmed dead, with eight others injured, as an explosive fire occurred in a South Korean leather factory, Yonhap news agency reported Friday.

SAN FRANCISCO -- U.S. top e-retailer Amazon.com, Inc. said Thursday that its net sales smashed market expectations for the fourth quarter of 2019 by jumping 21 percent to 87.4 billion U.S. dollars.

JERUSALEM -- Negotiations between Palestine and Israel would become impossible if Israel moves unilaterally to implement parts of the U.S.-proposed peace plan, said UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov on Thursday.
