SINGAPORE, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 1.19 percent, or 37.42 points, to close at 3,116.31.
A total of 1.96 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.34 billion Singapore dollars (about 979.36 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 374 to 112.
The STI index went down 0.53 percent, or 16.95 points, to close at 3,153.73 last Friday. Enditem
