WINDHOEK, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Fistball League will kick off after a 3-month break with the league's opening tournament, slated for Saturday in the coastal town of Swakopmund.

The Bank Windhoek Cup tournament will see a total of 10 teams divided into two groups according to the rankings from the previous national tournament, said Namibia's Fistball Association media officer Helmo Minz on Tuesday.

"The matches will be played according to time limits and not sets as in previous tournaments. However, the final match will see teams compete for points in a total of five sets," added Minz.

According to the sponsors the 2020 Bank Windhoek Fistball League season promises to be an exciting affair since it allows Namibian Fistball players to get back in the game and hone their skills.

Last year, Namibia was the only African team to represent the continent at the IFA Fistball World Championship, held in Winterthur, Switzerland. Enditem
