FRANKFURT, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 196.59 points, or 1.48 percent, to close at 13,478.33 points.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 10.58 percent. Automotive supplier Continental and automotive manufacturer Daimler gained by 4.17 percent and 4.03 percent respectively.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero, marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 2.82 percent, 0.73 percent and 0.33 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 440.2 million euros (485.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
