JERUSALEM, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- At least 14 people were injured, including one in a critical condition, after a car ran into pedestrians in central Jerusalem early Thursday morning, the Israeli Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service said.
The victims were transported to local hospitals after the incident, which occurred at 01:47 am local time (2347 GMT Wednesday) on David Remez Street next to Jerusalem's First Station, a popular entertainment hub, according to the MDA.
"MDA EMTs (emergency medical technicians) and Paramedics treated and evacuated to hospitals 14 injured: 1 in serious condition (to Shaare Zedek), 1 moderate (to Hadassah Ein Karem) and 12 injured lightly," the MDA tweeted.
The driver fled the scene and is currently being sought by the police, according to local media reports. Enditem
