SINGAPORE, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.98 percent, or 31.42 points, to close at 3,231.55.
A total of 2.01 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.37 billion Singapore dollars (about 989.53 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 271 to 161.
The STI index went up 1.38 percent, or 43.56 points, to close at 3,200.13 on Wednesday. Enditem
