CAIRO, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi received on Thursday a letter from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud commending the ties of cooperation between the two countries, said the Egyptian presidency.
The letter was handed to President Sisi during his meeting with Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al-Qattan, Egypt's presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
"The letter included confirmation of the depth of historic relations between the two countries and expression of the kingdom's keenness on supporting all Egyptian political and diplomatic efforts in various regional and international issues," he added.
The Egyptian president stressed that the Egyptian-Saudi ties represent "a pillar for stability and security in the Arab region," according to Rady. Enditem
