BEIRUT -- A World Bank senior official said on Friday that the World Bank will determine the level of its support for Lebanon on the basis of how its government will implement reforms, LBCI TV Channel reported.

"We are all waiting for the government's reform program and accordingly the World Bank will determine how it can support the Lebanese people," said Saroj Kumar Jha, regional director of the Mashreq Department at the World Bank Group, during his meeting with Lebanese Finance Minister Ghazi Wazne.

"It is necessary for the new government to embark ... on an ambitious reform program and serious steps within specific deadlines," he added.

ANKARA -- A Russian delegation will visit Ankara on Saturday to discuss the escalating tension in Syria's Idlib Province, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Friday.

"Our goal is to stop the (Syrian) regime's aggression and move the political process forward," Cavusoglu told reporters during a joint press conference with his visiting Slovakian counterpart.

JUBA -- South Sudan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Friday launched a five-year project to boost fish production in the country.

Meshack Malo, FAO representative in South Sudan, said:"South Sudanese could fix some of their own economic challenges through adequate investments in the sector. The lack of supply routes allowing the transportation of fresh fish from the fishing sites to far market locations remains one of the main challenges for the fishing sector."

TEHRAN -- The commander of the Aerospace Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Amir Ali Hajizadeh said Iran has the technology to neutralize the U.S. RQ-4 drone flying thousands of km away from its borders, Tehran Times daily reported Friday.
