SKOPJE -- A cargo train collided with a car on Wednesday at a level crossing in the central part of North Macedonia, killing one and injuring four others, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

According to the ministry, the accident happened between the train stations of Zgropolci and Gradsko, some 60 kilometers south of the capital Skopje at 12:10 p.m. local time on Wednesday. (Macedonia-Train-Collision)

GENEVA -- The World Health Organization (WHO) announced Wednesday that the Ebola outbreak which started in August 2018 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) still constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a press briefing that it was the unanimous view of the WHO Emergency Committee that the Ebola outbreak in DRC is still a PHEIC. (WHO-DRC-Ebola)

KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed multiple aspects of the Ukraine-EU cooperation with visiting Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiation Oliver Varhelyi, the Ukrainian president's press service said Wednesday.

The parties discussed the signing of the Common Aviation Area Agreement, the beginning of negotiations on the so-called industrial visa-free regime, the deepening of cooperation in the digital sphere, collaboration within the framework of the European Green Deal, and many others. MOSCOW -- The Russian Defense Ministry denied in a statement on Wednesday the accusations of attacks on civilians in Idlib.
