LUANDA, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Sweden's information center for exporters in developing countries, Open Trade Gate Sweden, has empowered Angola's businesses on export matters, an Angolan investment official said Wednesday.
Antonio Henriques da Silva, chief executive of the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), said this at the opening of a seminar promoting the partnership between AIPEX and Open Trade Gate Sweden.
The official said that AIPEX is delivering training to entrepreneurs who intend to export fruits, coffee and other agricultural products.
Angolan entrepreneurs are equipped with techniques, concepts and knowledge of other markets, which makes them stronger and more competitive both internally and externally, and contributes to the diversification of the national economy and promotion of Angolan brands.
At the event, Swedish Ambassador to Angola Ewa Polana spoke of the need to empower small Angolan entrepreneurs with micro finances.
The Swedish diplomat pledged continuous support for companies of both countries.
From August 2018 to September 2019, AIPEX has implemented in the country at least 48 private investment projects with a total value of more than 1.7 billion U.S. dollars. Enditem
