NEW DELHI -- Three lawyers were wounded Thursday after a blast went off inside a court in northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The blast took place at the district court in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.

"Today a low-intensity blast took place inside the court here in which few lawyers were wounded," a police officer said. "The lawyers have been removed to hospital." (India-Blast)

HONG KONG -- The number of novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) cases in Hong Kong has increased to 51 as of Tuesday afternoon, after a new case was confirmed, Hong Kong's Centre for Health Protection (CHP) said.

The additional case involves a 43-year-old man living in Hong Kong's Tuen Mun district. He had no history of travel during the incubation period, but had a meal on Jan. 31 with 12 family members, one of whom has earlier been confirmed being infected. (Hong Kong-COVID-19-Cases)

FARAH, Afghanistan -- Four Taliban militants were killed in an Afghan Air Force overnight strike in western Farah province, a provincial governor said on Thursday.

"The strike targeted a militants' vehicle which approached a security checkpoint in an area in Pusht Rod district, Farah province, Wednesday night. Four militants aboard the vehicle were killed and the car was destroyed," Mohammad Shouhib Sabit told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Militants-Airstrike)

SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics on Thursday denied a local media report on the suspected drug abuse by Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, according to the statement from the country's biggest family-controlled conglomerate.

Samsung said that Lee, an heir apparent of Samsung Group, had never used drugs illegally, hoping that the truth would be clearly unveiled through prosecutors' investigation. (South Korea-Samsung-Heir) Enditem
