Oman hosts Middle East and North Africa Karting Championship

MUSCAT, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Karting Championship set off here on Thursday with 46 contestants from 14 countries taking part.

The championship, which is held on the ring of the Oman Automobile Association, draws teams from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Qatar and Oman.

The championship includes five categories: "Micro Max" with a distance of 8 km, "Mini Max" with a distance of 9 km, "Junior Max" with a distance of 11 km, "Max" with a distance of 11 km, and the "DD2 DD2M" category with a distance of 11 km. Enditem
