German shares close flat Friday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 1.22 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 13,744.21 points.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost 3.47 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen, which lost 1.25 percent and 1.21 percent respectively.

Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero gained 1.99 percent, the top gainer. Housing association Vonovia and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical advanced 1.41 percent and 1.09 percent respectively.

Wirecard was the most traded share, with a turnover of 334.5 million euros (362.7 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
