Jordan launches incentive package to improve e-gov't services

AMMAN, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Monday launched a package of incentives aimed at improving business environment and simplifying procedures for citizens and investors.

At a meeting in Amman, Jordan's Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said the package aims at improving the e-government tools so as to save time and effort for users of the service.

In an effort to boost economic growth, create jobs and attract investors, Jordan recently launched a series measures, including reducing sales tax on some commodities, extending exemptions on real estate sector, lowering taxes on electric cars and improving services and launching projects in the fields of education, health and transportation.

According to reports by the International Monetary Fund, Jordan's economy is estimated to grow by 2.3 percent in 2019 and 2.3 percent in 2020. Enditem
