TOKYO, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks declined Tuesday morning, as technology-linked issued lost ground after Apple Inc. said overnight that it will not meet its quarterly revenue target.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 285.80 points, or 1.21 percent, from Monday to 23,237.44.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 20.05 points, or 1.19 percent, to 1,667.72.
Precision instrument, metal product and electric appliance-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
