CHICAGO, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded mixed on Tuesday morning.
As of 1710 GMT, the most active corn contract for March delivery rose 3.75 cents to 3.815 U.S. dollars per bushel. March wheat added 13.75 cents to 5.565 dollars per bushel. March soybeans slid 1.25 cents to 8.925 dollars per bushel.
CBOT wheat futures inched higher after the Australian government lowered its estimate of the country's 2019/20 wheat crop harvest.
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences cut its wheat crop estimate to 15.17 million metric tons, down from its December forecast of 15.85 million metric tons.
Corn futures firmed on expectations of fresh purchases by top buyer China.
Starting from March 2, China's tax authority will accept applications of domestic firms for the exemption of additional tariffs imposed on some U.S. products within a certain period of time, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council said Tuesday.
