Qatari emir to visit Jordan over bilateral ties, cooperation

AMMAN, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will start an official visit to Jordan on Sunday, Jordanian Royal Court said on Saturday.

King Abdullah II of Jordan will hold talks with the Qatari emir. The talks will cover means to advance bilateral ties and activate cooperation in various areas, especially economic sectors and regional developments, the Royal Court said in a statement.

In 2018, Qatar pledged to provide 10,000 jobs for Jordanians, and invest 500 million U.S. dollars in several sectors and projects in Jordan. Enditem
