10 kg of ICE, stimulants seized in eastern Myanmar

YANGON, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities seized large amount of narcotic drugs including 10 kg of methamphetamine (ICE) and 999,600 stimulant tablets in Shan state, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on Sunday.

The confiscation was made by security forces during their operation in Minekok Township on Friday.

ICE worth 200 million kyats (133,333 U.S. dollars) and stimulants worth 999.6 million kyats (666,400 U.S. dollars) were seized.

The township police filed a case to capture five suspects who fled the scene under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the CCDAC said. Enditem
