NAIROBI, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Kenya beach volleyball coach Sammy Mulinge has termed Nigeria and Cape Verde as the teams to watch out from their group ahead of next week's second round of the Africa women's Olympic qualifiers in Abuja.

The Kenyan team, which is training in Mombasa, faces the two sides alongside Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in a five-country tournament in which the best two sides will make it to the finals in April.

"It is getting tough and each opponent is bolstering their squad with new tactics," Mulinge said on Wednesday.

"Kenya is leaving nothing to chance. For us, it is a must-win tournament to keep our dream of the maiden show at the Olympic Games. We have the experience and talented players to capture the single slot for Africa," Mulinge added.

Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) confirmed that 20 teams will take part in the second round.

CAVB has divided the 20 into four pools of five teams each and the top two from each pool will qualify to the finals bringing together the best eight teams in the continent.

The Continental Cup is considered the only African qualifying process for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Enditem
