VIENTIANE, March 10 (Xinhua) -- An Airbus A330 belonging to Thai Airways collided with a parked Gulfstream privet jet on Monday when taxiing to take off in Lao capital Vientiane's Wattay International Airport, according to Lao News Agency on Tuesday.

When the Thai Airways aircraft, scheduled to take off at 20:30 local time (GMT 1330) bound for Thai capital Bangkok on Monday, was taking off in Wattay International Airport, its wing accidently hooked with the tail of Gulfstream (GLF4) privet jet parked in the airport.

The tail of the Gulfstream is damaged, according to local transportation media Aero Laos report in social media, and nobody got hurt from the accident on Monday night.

Thai Airways issued a statement on Tuesday, saying that all passengers and crew are safe and had been brought to a Vientiane hotel.

Thai Airways is arranging the flight for the passengers to return to Bangkok on Tuesday, Thai Airways statement quoted Pathana pathanasiri, director of Safety, Security and Aviation Standards of Thai Airways as saying on Tuesday morning.

The TG575 flight operated by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft carried 79 passengers and 13 crew members on Monday night, according to the statement.

The airbus and the Gulfstream jet are still seen stranded in the airport till Tuesday noon. Enditem
