MONROVIA -- China on Wednesday donated medical items to help Liberia fight the novel coronavirus.

SANTIAGO -- Chilean President Sebastian Pinera on Wednesday declared a 90-day state of catastrophe to step up the government's action to combat the COVID-19 epidemic that has so far infected 238 people.

LISBON -- Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa declared on Wednesday in a televised national speech a "state of emergency" in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

SARAJEVO -- The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has ordered the Armed Forces to be deployed along the border to help fight coronavirus, the Presidency announced on Wednesday.
