SINGAPORE, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 4.32 percent, or 99.74 points, to close at 2,410.74.
A total of 2.02 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 2.51 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.74 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 376 to 142.
The STI index went down 4.73 percent, or 114.62 points, to close at 2,311 on Thursday. Enditem
