OUAGADOUGOU, March 20 (Xinhua) -- The minister of territorial administration, decentralization and social cohesion of Burkina Faso Simeon Sawadogo was declared positive for COVID-19 on Friday, after the country's education minister Stanislas Ouaro's was confirmed to be infected on the same day.
"The Minister Simeon Sawadogo informs the public that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He invites all his colleagues as well as all the people who have been in contact with him, to kindly report to health authorities", a statement of the ministry said Friday afternoon.
Burkina Faso, which reported its first confirmed COVID-19 case on March 9, now has 40 confirmed cases. Enditem
