DHAKA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh has banned the entry of flights from 10 countries until March 31 effective from March 21.
The countries are Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, The United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore and India.
Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen told journalists Saturday in Dhaka that the move was aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19 from foreign nationals in the country.
He however said flight operations with Britain, China, and Thailand will remain active.
Bangladesh on Saturday announced the country's second death related to COVID-19 as well as four new cases.
With the fresh cases, the number of infected patients in the country has risen to 24. Enditem
