BRATISLAVA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Slovak President Zuzana Caputova on Saturday appointed 46-year-old Igor Matovic as the new prime minister.

Matovic's party OLaNO (Ordinary People), the winner of the Feb. 29 general election, created a landslide-majority coalition with the other three parties -- We Are Family, Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) and For the People.

It came after the resignation of former Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini was accepted by Caputova on Friday evening.

Matovic was born on May 11, 1973 in Trnava. In 2010, he became a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, according to Slovak news agency TASR. Enditem
