PHNOM PENH, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed late on Saturday that two more people were tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of the confirmed cases in the kingdom to 53.

The new patients are French tourists, aged 67 and 80 years old, the MoH said in a press statement, adding that the two men arrived in the coastal province of Preah Sihanouk on March 18 and stayed in a hotel.

"The two men have been put in isolation rooms for treatment at the Preah Sihanouk provincial hospital," the statement said.

Cambodia has so far recorded a total of 53 confirmed cases of the COVID-19. Among them are a Chinese national, three British nationals, 12 Malaysians, four French nationals, a Canadian man, a Belgian man, and 31 Cambodians. All, but four, are imported cases.

The Chinese patient had recovered and returned to China early last month.

According to the statement, another patient, a 65-year-old British woman, has fully recovered and will be discharged from hospital on Sunday. Enditem
