SARAJEVO, March 21 (Xinhua) -- COVID-19 has claimed its first life in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Saturday, the state-run federal news agency Fena reported.

The woman, a senior with chronic health conditions, was admitted two days ago to a local hospital in Bihac, a town 430 km west of capital Sarajevo. She had been in contact with her son who travelled from Germany to BiH and was reportedly infected with COVID-19.

All visitors entering BiH are obliged to spend 14 days in quarantine as a part of the measures introduced to prevent the spread of the virus. All bars and restaurants are closed as well.

In addition, movement of all citizens under 18 and over 65 years of age is forbidden in the Federation of BiH, one of the two BiH entities. In Republika Srpska (RS), the other BiH entity, curfew will start on Saturday, banning movement of civilians between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

To date, 93 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in BiH. Enditem
