COVID-19 cases in Kuwait rise to 188

KUWAIT CITY, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait reported 12 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of the cases in the country to 188, the Health Ministry announced Sunday.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Bassel Al-Sabah said three more COVID-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of the cured to 30.

The Kuwaiti government has decided to impose a nationwide curfew from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. starting Sunday to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

On March 13, Kuwait suspended all commercial flights to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The government also decided to close shops, malls, and barbershops. Enditem
