MALABO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Equatorial Guinea on Sunday reported three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to nine, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
The seventh case involves a 45-year-old male citizen of the Republic of the Congo, the eighth case is a 37-year-old Equatoguinean woman. Both of them arrived in Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, on March 15 on an Ethiopian Airlines flight.
The ninth patient is the first case found in Bata, in the continental part of Equatorial Guinea. She is a 64-year-old Equatoguinean woman who flew to Malabo from Madrid, Spain on March 11, before traveling to Bata.
The first six cases of COVID-19 reported in Equatorial Guinea were all imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. Enditem
