HARARE, March 23 (Xinhua) -- The Zimbabwean government on Monday reported the country's first death related to COVID-19, state broadcaster ZBC reported.

The victim, 30-year-old businessman and broadcaster Zororo Makamba, was a Harare resident who traveled to New York City, the United States, on Feb. 29 and returned home in Harare on March 9 through Johannesburg, South Africa, the ZBC said.

"The Minister of Health and Child Care, Obadiah Moyo, has confirmed the death of Zororo Makamba, who was the second person to test positive for COVID-19 in Zimbabwe," the ZBC said on Twitter.

Makamba was tested positive Saturday for the virus. Enditem
