Afghanistan reports 2nd death from COVID-19

KABUL, March 25 (Xinhua) -- A woman affected by the COVID-19 was killed in Afghanistan's western Herat province, bringing the number of death from the disease to two, the country's Public Health Ministry spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said Wednesday.

In talks with Xinhua, Mayar confirmed that the second victim was a 45-year old woman from Herat province.

The first death from the infectious disease was reported from the northern Balkh province on Sunday.

The Health Ministry has confirmed 74 positive cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Four service members of the NATO-led Resolute Support coalition were also infected by the infectious disease. Enditem
