ADDIS ABABA, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The Eritrean government has confirmed three more cases of COVID-19, increasing the total confirmed cases to four as of Thursday.

"Three passengers who arrived in Asmara from Dubai with flight Air Arabia on March 23, were diagnosed positive for COVID-19 on late Wednesday," the Eritrean Minister of Information Yemane Gebremeskel said in a statement issued.

"All the three passengers are Eritrean nationals resident in the country. This puts the total number of infected individuals, to-date, to four," the statement read.

The passengers, who were on the same flight with the patients and all those who came in physical contact with them, have been quarantined, the minister said.

All the patients are receiving necessary treatment at a healthcare station and remain in satisfactory condition. Enditem
