Brunei reports first COVID-19 death

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported the first death case from COVID-19 in the country, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

According to the health ministry, the deceased was a 64-year-old man who returned to Brunei from Malaysia and Cambodia on March 4.

The man who passed away on Friday night at the National Isolation Center in Tutong District is the 25th COVID-19 case in the sultanate.

A new case was confirmed on Friday in Brunei, bringing the national COVID-19 tally to 115. The country's total recoveries reached 11 cases after six more patients were recovering from COVID-19. Enditem
