WASHINGTON -- The number of COVID-19 cases in the United States has surpassed 110,000, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE).
As of 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (1800 GMT), there were 112,468 confirmed cases in the United States, with 1,841 deaths, an interactive map maintained by the CSSE showed. (US-COVID-19)

NEW YORK -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea fired at least one unidentified projectile into the East Sea on Sunday, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported, citing the country's Joint Chiefs of Staff.

MOSCOW -- Russia is going to suspend border crossings via automobile, railway, pedestrian and other border checkpoints from Monday in a bid to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Russian government said Saturday in a statement.
The Russian Transport Ministry, together with the Russian Federal Security Service, the Russian Federal Customs Service and Rospotrebnadzor, Russia's consumer rights and human well-being watchdog, should temporarily restrict traffic through the automobile, railway, pedestrian, river and other checkpoints across the Russian state border from 00:00 Moscow time on Monday (2100 GMT on Sunday), the statement said. OTTAWA -- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Saturday morning that anyone showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will be denied boarding on all domestic flights and trains from Monday noon.
