MINSK, March 30 (Xinhua) -- The total number of COVID-19 infection cases leaped to 152 in Belarus, the Ministry of Health said on Monday.

Over the past three days, the number of coronavirus cases in Belarus has grown by nearly two-thirds -- from 94 to 152, said the ministry.

Among the 152 confirmed cases, 47 people have been or are preparing to be discharged from hospitals. The remaining 105 patients are receiving medical treatment, the ministry said.

Since March 26, Belarus has introduced a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for people entering Belarus from countries where the COVID-19 virus is actively circulating. Enditem
