KIEV, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's parliament has dismissed Ihor Umansky and Ilya Yemets from the posts of ministers of finance and health, and appointed Serhiy Marchenko and Maksym Stepanov respectively, the parliament's press service announced Monday on its official website.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel that Umansky and Yemets are professionals who are able to implement long-term reforms, but at the moment the country requires quick action.

Marchenko served as deputy finance minister in 2016-2018. In 2018-2019, he held the position of deputy chairman of the Presidential Administration.

Stepanov served as chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration from 2017 to 2019.

As of 10 p.m. local time Monday, the country's COVID-19 related deaths rose to 13 and its confirmed cases reached 548, the health ministry said.

To combat the novel coronavirus, Ukraine has imposed a mode of emergency throughout its entire territory for 30 days until April 24.

The Ukrainian economy has been hit hard by the crisis resulting from the coronavirus spread and the global economic decline.

Since early March, the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) has fallen in price against the U.S. dollar by about 14 percent. On Monday, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate at UAH 28.18 per dollar. Enditem
