KHARTOUM, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Health Ministry on Tuesday announced a new COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to seven.

"The case is of a man in his 60s who returned from the United Arab Emirates on March 14," the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said that the patient is now receiving medical care at an isolation center in the capital Khartoum, as the health authorities started investigating who had contact with the patient.

On March 23, the Sudanese government declared a partial curfew in all cities nationwide in a bid to prevent the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Enditem
