CARACAS, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan Prosecutor General Tarek William Saab said Tuesday judicial authorities have cited Juan Guaido, the opposition leader and congressional deputy, for questioning on April 2.
Authorities want Guaido "to respond to charges" made by retired military general Cliver Alcala Cordones, who is "currently a fugitive from justice," said Saab.
Guaido is to be questioned in relation to the March 23 seizure of an arms cachet in Colombia that was due to be smuggled into Venezuela.
He is also under investigation in Venezuela for alleged corruption and treason for heading attempts to overthrow the government. Enditem
